The Opportunity:
We’re on the lookout for a dedicated legal assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for a law student looking to gain hands-on experience, or a legal assistant seeking a dynamic and flexible work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering telephones and administrative tasks such as file opening and data entry
- Drafting documents, correspondence, and client communications
- Supporting lawyers with court documents, research, and file management
- Liaising with clients and external stakeholders
- Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries
- Managing deadlines, calendars, and client follow-ups
About You:
- Currently studying law or have experience as a legal assistant (wills and estate experience preferable but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Computer skills including competency with Microsoft Suite and Practice Management Systems
- A proactive attitude with the ability to manage appropriate tasks autonomously
- Interest in succession law
- Willingness to learn and be part of a collaborative team
- Drivers licence
