The Role:

We are seeking an experienced wills and estates lawyer to join our growing team in a key role supporting our estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation practices.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience across all areas of wills and estates. However, we are also open to considering lawyers who have strong experience in some, but not all, areas, provided they demonstrate a genuine willingness and capability to develop their skills in the remaining areas.

This role is expected to suit a lawyer with several years’ post-admission experience in wills and estates. That said, our primary focus is on capability, sound judgment and cultural fit, rather than years of experience alone.

This is an ideal opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys variety, autonomy and responsibility, and who values working closely with experienced wills and estates lawyers in a supportive, collaborative and non-hierarchical environment.

Location and Flexibility

Nurture Law has offices in Forest Lake and Brisbane, with our head office based in Forest Lake. This role can be based out of either office, with the flexibility to work across both locations and hybrid from home.

We are committed to flexible working arrangements and are open to discussing what will work best for the right candidate and the needs of the role.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Running estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation matters independently, where you have the appropriate level of experience, and working under supervision where required.
  • Work collaboratively with senior lawyers and paralegals to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Contribute to a positive, flexible and values-aligned team culture.
  • Bringing innovative ideas to improve legal processes and enhance client experience.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in wills and estates, with the ability to run matters independently in at least one core practice area (estate planning, estate administration or estate litigation).
  • A genuine interest in developing your skills across all aspects of wills and estates.
  • Strong technical foundations and sound judgment, with an understanding of when to seek guidance.
  • Strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills.
  • A collaborative, pragmatic, and client-focused approach.
  • Comfortable embracing new technology and driving innovation in legal practice.
  • A genuine interest in succession law and a desire to make a difference in clients’ lives.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Flexible working arrangements, including work-from-home options.
  • No timesheets or billable hour targets.
  • Birthday leave plus 3 gifted leave days each year.
  • Regular team strategy and planning days.
  • A positive, supportive, and fun team culture.
  • Opportunities for career progression and leadership within the firm.
